Education
Alpha Sigma Omega Chapter adresses the Education program target across the educational spectrum.  We start with the youngest at-risk youth in the Ivy Reading Academy afterschool tutoring program.  Next, middle school students are provided with recognition and encourgement in the Scholars' Tea Program. Two programs target high school young ladies.  Our AKAdettes program provides mentoring, social, and service opportunities to girls in the central Ohio area while our scholarship program awards as much as $10,000 each year to help students with collegiate expenses.

Health
The Alpha Sigma Omega health program seeks to improve the health of our membership and our community through programs promoting cancer awareness, cardiovascular health, healthy eating, and physical fitness.  The chapter also participates in The Race for the Cure and March of Dimes WalkAmerica to help fund important health research.

The Black Family
The chapter sponsors a number of service programs throughout the year to improve the quality of life in Central Ohio including neighborhood clean-ups, blood drives, and Toys for Tots.

The Arts
In order to support the arts, ASO organizes chapter trips to local artistic presentations and volunteers with art organizations.  In addition, Alpha Sigma Omega sponsors The Art of Reading program.  The Art of Reading program focuses on one of Alpha Kappa Alpha's national program targets, the arts.  This program caters to the pre-school through elementary aged school children.  Sorors who participate have an opportunity to interact with the children in the communities we serve by reading stories to them and assisting in creating art projects.

Economics
Alpha Sigma Omega seeks to improve economic conditions within the community by encouraging support of Black businesses and by offering financial literacy trainings.
